Competitive
Our competitive company has been around for over 20 years. Each year, students aged seven or older may audition in their selected dance form – Ballet, Jazz, Tap (10+ years), and Lyrical (12+ years) – or in all forms.
BDA Company dancers enjoy additional performing opportunities outside of our popular year-end recitals and develop comraderie with other dancers to form a unique additional element to their dance training within their selected stream(s).
Our Companies are grouped into Mini, Pre-Junior, Elementary, Intermediate, and Senior teams based on age, technique, experience, and calibre. Movement from one Company level to the next is challenging and competitive, promoting excellence and laying the foundation for a career in dance.
Company students meet weekly beginning in September to develop challenging and creative choreography and are encouraged to attend every rehearsal in support of their Company. All BDA Company students must re-audition annually.
We encourage our students to come out for the auditions as they offer a unique and wonderful experience, giving dancers a chance to feel the energy, nervousness, and excitement of an audition.
